My stepfather is very rude about most things, especially the cords used to charge his devices. When the charging cable for his Asus T100 broke, we tried many solutions, but one day it just wouldn't turn on. It swore it was broken because the charge lights were still on, but refused to boot up or even show a battery charge chart. However, having had one before and knowing its "quirks" I suspected that maybe it was just that it just wasn't charging properly. "Micro USB" cables, we try to charge them with a regular USB cable and a brick, not realizing that not all these cables and plugs are the same.) This charger does not indicate that it is compatible with its device compatible, but I figured the worst case scenario I could use it to charge the phone fast. I bought a 3.5A charger and it worked PERFECTLY. His "broken" tablet charged up in a matter of hours (much quicker than the cable that came with the tablet!) and booted up like nothing happened. Since then there have been no more problems and the cable still works great even after a few months. (Which is saying something, since it usually goes over the cord about once a month.) My only possible complaint would be that the slightly larger plug can be easily knocked out accidentally when plugged into an outlet on the floor, but that's it purely a user-related issue, and I'd happily settle for a slightly fiddly connector in exchange for fast, efficient charging.
