These spice racks are very durable. To be honest I don't know why they need such a heavy spice material. Unfortunately, the thin, flat magnet that's supposed to hold it to metal surfaces doesn't do that due to the spice rack's own weight. Once you've added lots of spices, forget it. I think the third plastic spice bottle I put on tipped her over. Luckily I can still use them by simply placing them on the control panel of my oven where I usually keep them. At least they look organized now. In my opinion you should look for a stronger magnet when purchasing one of these racks.
