I am very happy with this purchase. I ordered it in both Medium and Large because it was difficult to determine which would be a better fit. The size chart indicated a L/XL might be best. The reviews had me thinking otherwise, but were wildly divergent as to how they assessed the sizing. I needed a simple black dress in short order for a funeral and ordered in two sizes to ensure that one of them would fit. I decided that the Medium was the size for me. I am 5' and 140 lbs.- busty with a marshmallowy midsection. The medium provided a comfortable fit through the bust and sleeves and nicely skimmed my lumps and bumps for a smooth and flattering look. The hem hit right at the top of my knees, which is just where I like it to be. It might be a tad longer on someone with a less chesty physique. The dress itself is perfectly simple and, therefore, very versatile. Jewelry/scarves/shoes can take it from very casual to nice evening out appropriate. It is very lightweight and stretchy (and could be clingy if ordered too small) but the right size is very flattering and comfortable. This is a great little dress and at $20 it's a bargain. I definitely recommend it.
