I bought this because I need to fly a plane several times a year with a partially bag full of clubs. I easily carry three lines, a pair of hybrid irons and my stick in my bag. I haven't tried it, but I think the bag could hold a full set of irons if it wasn't for the wood. There are two side pockets that can be used for t-shirts, gloves and balls. The large one fits 8-10 golf balls. The bag doesn't have much padding. I didn't trust it to endure the rough baggage handling, so I wrapped the tops of my clubs in a pair of golf towels. A good holdall for the money.
