These paper coffee filters work great with the Kcup reusable coffee filter. I have a lot of coffee dirt on the bottom of the cup when I only brew coffee with the filter. It got a little annoying. No matter what degree of grind or how much coffee was poured into the reusable filter, some kind of dirt was always left at the bottom of the cup. These filters stopped it completely. The only time it gets messy is if I accidentally spill something when I'm filling it because I'm clumsy. You don't need a fancy reusable filter either. When I got mine I bought a pack of four cheap filters because for some reason the expensive one I bought wasn't compatible with my Keurig and they were the cheapest so I kept them. Filters work well with them. I had no problems. The lids close easily and best of all, there are no nasty things left at the bottom of the mug. I definitely recommend looking into paper filters if your reusable filter leaves residue in the cup or similar. They really solve this problem immediately.
