It has big disadvantages. Buy something else.
Two main disadvantages (1) The magnet is too weak to support its own weight, so it won't stay on a vertical surface for too long. (2) Silicone seal to prevent water entering inside and like to get out of position. After it is taken out, it is impossible to put the seal back, so the waterproof function was broken. Now I have a thermometer that is not waterproof and cannot stick to the fridge.
