I guessed it based on the size. MyGirl weighs 5.50 pounds and is average/small for her age. I bought 2xl and they fit PERFECTLY. She's 5/6 more than everyone else's 6, and they fold. But if they were a little bigger, they would be too short. Next time I'll take 3xl for her.
