Great STEM toy to start with

I bought these magnetic tiles a month ago for my 2 year old for Christmas. She loves to stack, build and take apart so I thought this would be a great addition to our construction toys. As soon as we opened the box I was so amazed at the quality of this tile! Inside are: 4 large squares, 24 small squares, 18 small equilateral triangles, 8 right triangles, 6 large isosceles triangles. This 60 piece set has allowed us to create many designs and is perfect for our 2 year old to play with. She was able to easily attach the magnetic tiles together to create the design and easily detach the tiles. They don't have any parts that I'm worried she'll eat as all the magnets are fully encased in plastic cases. My family has been playing with these magnetic tiles every day, if not multiple times a day, for a month now and they have held up well when thrown by a toddler. They don't seem to scratch easily or fade in color. This set comes in a sturdy cardboard box for convenient storage. I understand why this toy has been nominated for so many awards. This is a great introduction to STEM programs that can teach young children about shapes, colors, and spatial concepts for building. Although our towers are not always structurally sound, my child learns cause and effect and problem-solving skills by playing with them. Even as an adult, I enjoy designing houses and buildings with these Picasso tiles. I am very happy with this purchase and plan on buying a second set to add to our set in the future!
