Review on SYMA Q7 RC Boat: 20+ Km/H 2.4GHz Fast Racing For Pools & Lakes, Capsize Recovery + Low Battery Alarm, Gifts For Boys & Girls by Brian Fisher

Revainrating 5 out of 5

"This is my favorite toy! " - my 6yr old son who recently got a drone that will now sit unused.

So my son's friend recently got an RC boat. He's been talking a bout our getting one for a while now. I'm not exactly sure why we picked this out of the several in this price range, but apparently it was the right choice. He loves it. He's very pleased with the battery life, especially compared to a drone, and says it is probably too fast for him. The controls are completely intuitive and remarkably responsive. And it seems durable enough to survive a great number of mishaps. It was relatively easy to get up and going. There was some question about whether or not I should grease the drive shaft the first time out. There are passable instructions on how to accomplish this, but no mention if this was for "before your first voyage" use or "once you've run the boat a few times" use. It took a little bit of fiddling to disconnect and reconnect the hoses from the cooling coil, and I would recommend using a hemostat to get in there with precision. We have had water enter the hull each time we've gone out, but everything inside sits up out of the bilge and seems protected against water. I don't know where the water is coming in yet, but it DID NOT affect the use of the boat that we could tell. All in all I would recommend this to anyone looking to dip their toe in the waters of RC boats - especially at this price.
