Great article, didn't work for me without modifications

Overall this is a well made article. The steel is thick and well made, the rollers work well, the kit has everything you need for mounting and tightening/loosening tools at a very reasonable price. It accommodates doorways of different widths and spacing, so I avoid drilling through hardwood floors and can instead paint a painted wall that's easier to touch up in the street if needed. The finish matched my barn door hardware perfectly and was much better than the small black plastic T that came with it to hold the base of the door. demands from the wall. The door must be at least 1-1/8" from the mounting surface to use this part, which is a significant gap. Especially for me since I had baseboards so I moved the door almost 1-3/4" had to remove from the wall to use this mount. I ended up cutting off the mounting end of the bracket, rotated it 90 degrees and welded it together so I could mount it in the door instead of on the wall. This allowed me to get the door in with only 1/8 inch clearance from the baseboard which really tightened it up and now the door doesn't let much light into the bedroom. See my photos if this description doesn't make sense. On a side note, my door would never open all the way and always had a few inches of protrusion when fully open for this to work. Normally with so many modifications I would be dissatisfied and deduct more stars but to be honest the sizes are listed and the quality of the part was good. I just wish it was closer to the wall. Just buy this knowing how much you need to move the door (maybe with a top board) to make it work. Having said that, I still haven't found anything I liked better and having a roller on either side of the door so it works great!
