Don't be fooled they always work for everyone. It's hit or miss, lucky in a tie. The simple fact is they can refill them, but they can't do anything with the integrated circuit that tells your printer how much ink is in the cartridge. If your printer refuses to work when one of the cartridges registers as empty like mine does and the IC says it's empty even though it's been refilled, it just won't work - period. In my case I have a new, old HP H470 that has hardly been used, has stood for 10 years. Now I don't have to use it anymore, and I didn't want to spend more than $50 on genuine HP cartridges when the printheads were screwed on for so long. So at $9 it was the cheapest route. You just need to see how the color and black prints look on the test print. Well, the color cartridge worked and registered it as half full, but the black one refuses to work, cannot print a single word, registering empty or empty. A bad cartridge every time. So I got my money's worth? Type. Keep that in mind when trying to decide if it's worth buying - the cartridges come with a manual that uses the front and back to tell you so many words about what I've already said. If your printer won't print because it detects an empty cartridge, there's a good chance they won't work for you. But hey, who knows, you might be one of the lucky ones. Much luck!
