Review on 15x12 Inch American Metalcraft Ceramic Pizza Stone, 3/8 Inch Height by Garry Ortiz

Arrived well and well packaged by Revain. The stone is factory wrapped with some bubble wrap but only has a thin cardboard sleeve so I'm surprised they pack the item so easily at the factory; it looks like many of them are broken. The corners are rounded, so the corners of the rectangular stone box were damaged; no problem. This may have been done to protect the corners from damage in a fall. The stone arrived safely. It fits in our oven on wheels and seems to spread the heat evenly. It is easy to install, use and clean. Be sure to dry it completely before each use. If it cracks, it doesn't matter since a lot of people use multiple tiles, so it's essentially "multiple cracks". I didn't choose tile as I don't want any rattling during our trip, it even seems to reduce rattling. If it tears it doesn't matter as it's heavy and should stay in place. Also, it's light, rough, and porous, so don't worry about staining. This will stain. Be reasonable in your expectations and feedback. I recommend this stone especially for van cookers. Size the stone according to your needs and leave some air space around it to allow heat to circulate. Rounded corners help. My oven measures approximately 14 x 15 3/4 inches. This is considered a large van oven!
