I was delighted to receive a great replacement pen after my kitty took my pen somewhere. (Good thing it's cute.) This replacement pen is less of a "one-piece object" than the original (more plastic), and I immediately noticed that the tip/nib was different than the original. It fits my Note 8 well. The phone recognizes it as it should and correctly executes the "Notify Termination" menu. The top eject button works correctly (I was worried this wouldn't happen when I ordered it). My biggest problem: I mostly use a pen with Infinite Painter (a really awesome drawing app) and pressure sensitivity. The pen aspect is an important part of this (Note 8 has 1024 levels!). The tip of the replacement pen has plenty of travel and feels "soft" when I draw with it. The pressure response curve is very different and appears less sensitive/harsh. (At first I thought it was just an on/off switch, but I realized it adjusts the pressure levels, but maybe not the full range of the original pen?) So if you're just taking notes or drawing with a pen, this replacement *is working*. If you're picky like me and use it for art, you can spend more and get an original replacement. I'll play with it some more and see if I can send it back but I tend to get a decent replacement.
