After looking closely at the pictures I figured out how to properly assemble and thread the thread for the correct tension. There are 2 holes on the thread tension disk, it enters one hole, the thread enters the round disk and exits the other hole, and then wraps the thread around the spool several times. Then press the button and the coil will fill up in seconds!
