Review on DOT Certified CRG Fiberglass Full-Face Street Bike Motorcycle Helmet - ATV-1 (With Extra Large Size) by Matthew Harris

This helmet is cool! Especially for the price. The finish is comfortable and fits like a glove. My head measures 58 so I bought the medium according to the size chart and it's perfect. I have over 20 helmets (various brands and styles) and this one is the right size. I think I have a pretty neutral head shape so I don't feel any pressure points in this helmet at all. For what it's worth in terms of fit/shape, the new Bell brand helmets don't fit me. I think they have a rather round head shape. With a bell, it fits snugly in the front of the back, but has gaps in the sides above the temples. This CRG has no such problem for me. It whistles a little with the shield wide open, but it doesn't matter much. This is probably due to the wind blowing through the internal vents on the forehead. The chin strap is long enough and has a small locking button to keep it from hanging around; thoughtful function. Also, the CRG doesn't increase while riding, and when I turn my head, it doesn't feel like the wind is snapping my neck. The only thing I really, really didn't like was that the shield couldn't be removed from the stylus. lock out. Luckily I found a very simple FREE fix that takes about 30 seconds and completely eliminates the only downside of this helmet. (Quickly search "crg visor fix" on You Tube. It should be at the top.) I bought a tinted visor for it and it's not the best. It's not visually correct (at all) and a little blurry. But I ride a hard Harley and never saw anything clearly while riding because my eyeballs cracked in their sockets! laugh out loud! I don't know if the transparent visor that comes with the helmet is less distorted since I didn't use it or removed the ESD protection film from it. All in all I am very happy with this helmet and would like another one in a different colour.
