Review on Sound Bar Xiaomi Mi TV Soundbar White by Wiktor Getka ᠌

I've never seen worse! Horrible purchase.

As I was already using a redmi tv soundbar, I choose to upgrade to this earlier model because I liked the design of it more. Even though it costs more and has fancy features like passive emitters and frequency converters, the sound is terrible: it has no highs, no lows, and barely any bass even when turned up to 11, making it sound about as good as a little JBL Flip speaker. To my surprise, the redmi version, which I purchased for $600 less, sounded better and more balanced in overall. Worse still, when using the aux input at a low volume, the sound is horribly distorted, as if the radio signal is badly catching, terrible interference; it's an absolute nightmare, and the only way to listen is to crank up the volume to well above the middle, at which point it is excessively loud and obviously too much so. There is nothing wrong with the column or the cable. When using bluetooth, the sound quality often degrades and becomes delayed. There are 4 different iterations available. There is no way to tell how loud the speaker is without sitting there and guessing; all you have is tin. From what I can tell, they decided to pack as many speakers as they could into the case for the sake of aesthetics alone, and I couldn't care less about the quality of the sound or the functionality of the device. I bought it for 5k, and the sound is like from PC speakers that cost 1500—seriously. I do not understand all the laudatory reviews and reviews. I returned it to the shop because of interference when using the aux input; I'm crossing my fingers that they'll refund my money because we've decided to send it in for inspection; however, if the questions posted online about this model are any indication, many people have experienced similar issues; the company proudly dubs this feature "noise reduction," and it can't be disabled. Disappointed overall; as with other Xiaomi offerings, the vast majority of their wares seem designed solely to attract and profit from fans who, through their reviews, would hopefully convince others to make the same purchase.

Pros
  • Invention alone
Cons
  • Please don't waste your money on it; I'll elaborate in the comments.
