I used this for checked baggage as my past experience has been that the TSA will pick the locks on my bag and/or cut my bag open to get inside. Luckily that didn't happen when I used them! The straps work very well and fit regular and even large registered bags as the straps are adjustable. The clip parts are plastic but didn't break during the trip or between flights. The only annoying thing was that Southwest lost one of the belts on the way back. So if you find a way to prevent this on your trip, I definitely will!
