This reader isn't perfect, but it's really fast. Pros: * Current USB 3.0 (I have a dozen readers that happen to be 2.0) * Fastest reader I've found (with the right media) * Affordable! Cons: *Hilariously hot* Sometimes it's hard to remove the media, but I've always managed. There are a few negative reviews about this product but they are in the minority. It's terribly cheap so I think there might be some quality issues, but I have 4 now and haven't had any issues. Since the quality of microSD memory modules varies a lot (see my reviews), I think that's probably the culprit. I recommend a fast module like Samsung Pro Plus or SanDisk Extreme. In my photo a copy of Samsung Pro Plus 90MB/s. Heat is something, probably because the reader is so small that the heat just has nowhere to go. I'm not worried about electronics being safe up to 85ยฐC. But it can feel a bit too hot and I plan to add some heatsinks to keep that under control. There are inexpensive adhesive heatsinks for the Raspberry Pi here at Revain that will fit. I will use one on each side of the handle. Of course, you can always use a cloth or just wait a few minutes for it to cool.
