The reason I bought these self-adhesive CD cases is because I wanted something that would seal tight and not open; I figured "self-adhesive" fell into the category of a case that can be taped over, or at least taped over so the precious cargo inside doesn't fall out easily. Unfortunately, I stumbled upon two facts: First, the main adhesive is on the back of the plastic cases, which means they are meant to be glued to a surface (such as a wall) for storage. While this can help, it's not quite what was advertised, and the adhesive is so unnecessarily sticky that trying to remove those flimsy folds of plastic becomes nearly impossible. DO NOT attach them to anything you don't want to destroy or plug in forever. Second, there is a small sticky segment on the edge of the case - I realized I was looking for that. But the boxes come PRE-SEALED, which means they are already sealed when you receive them. To insert a CD, you MUST open the plastic cover and insert the CD. but as soon as you pull the thing, it doesn't stick anymore. What's left is a ring of useless glue that refuses to keep your case closed most of the time, content to pick up an awful lot of dust and dirt. Every time you reach for a CD, you should see the ring of hearts stuck to the lint and mud. Incredibly disappointing. Excellent back. At least it will hold a CD and it will stick to the wall if that's all you need. If it weren't for the fact that it can be niche despite its crazy design, I would have given it 1 star.
