i picked this up to replace my old holy grail liquid liner (jordana color envy liquid liner, $3) which has recently been discontinued. the color envy served me well and earned a lot of repurchases over the years, but i needed a replacement that ticked all the same checkboxes: completely matte black instead of the usual weird satin/vinyl sort of shine, long-wearing, with a very skinny brush, and somewhere in the drugstore price range.it's not a perfect replacement, but it comes closer than anything else i've found. the color is completely matte, the brush is skinny, and it lasts on my eyes all day without peeling, flaking, or smudging. the one downside is that it's 3x more expensive than my old eyeliner for an essentially equal product.
