Review on 🦅 Protective Eagle Cell Hybrid Case with Kickstand for HTC One V - White/Black by Joshua Albright

Very durable and attractive but not easy to use unless you have thin fingers. I think most reviewers commented only on the aesthetics and not on the functional needs of texting, web surfing, emails etc right after wearing it for the first time for at least a week, which is what I did. The case actually consists of 2 cases that you attach separately. You first attach a snap-on purple plastic case (consisting of 2 parts - one behind and one in front of the phone that snaps together) which is then slipped over a black rubber cover that fits into the grooves of the purple case. In theory, the purple plastic case could be used without the rubber cover, although it looks better assembled. The retractable stand feature (easily removed from view) is VERY handy, although the phone falls fairly easily when standing upright and connected to a charger (the stand is all plastic and a metal phone with a cover is relatively heavy). ; Everything is much more stable when the phone is laid flat with the kickstand extended. The "new" smell dissipates within a few days and is not a problem. BIGGEST PROBLEM: The purple plastic piece is so tight on the screen that it leaves little room for your fingers to use the full capacitive touch surface. The bottom 3 keys of the phone are only displayed making it difficult and uncomfortable to reach with your thumb. Likewise on the sides of the screens. For example, you find it difficult to touch "q" and "p". on the SlideIt or the Swype keyboard. Most cases leave EXTRA room on the sides and bottom to allow your fingers full access to the entire touch surface, but that's not the case. Without this place you have to adapt (it took a week, uncomfortable but doable).
