Review on πŸ“Ά Enhance and Expand Your Network with TP-Link AV600 Powerline WiFi Extender and WiFi Booster (TL-WPA4220 KIT) by Wiktor Barczuk ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nothing unusual, a normal product.

There is also a feeling that the products of this brand are leaving the market. Many varieties of kits can no longer be found on Yamarket (AV600 was hard to find - for some reason there are only 500 everywhere now), wi-fi extenders separately (which is more needed than a whole new kit) - almost the same; Gigabit instances seem to be non-existent in nature at all. Pros: Modest, clear, pretty, functional. I think all powerline adapters are more or less like that, I just chose TP Link for myself as a proven brand. Pleased with the ability to turn off LEDs permanently or on a schedule. Cons: And here attention! There are two things that caused the rating to go down. Firstly, after about a year of operation, one wifi extender began to emit a noticeable squeak (the problem is described on the Internet - the power supply; but - come on! - appeared not after five or ten years, but after some year). And the second - in general, complete nonsense, and the manufacturer, it seems, does not consider it a problem. Powerline adapters must be connected after the router. My router, of course, distributes IP addresses for my home network. But occasionally spontaneously (I have not noticed any system in this yet), the extender launches its own DHCP server. Most often - for a short time (a minute or two), but a couple of times I had to do a complete reset. Of course, during this, the entire network experiences some discomfort, and everything that is connected after the extender simply stops seeing the Internet. This is especially impressive when working remotely. And worst of all, starting DHCP in no way (well, that is, completely) is not disabled in the settings; you are simply put before the fact of writing in the logs. I already have two sets of AV600 adapter + Wifi extender, both have this problem. This question was asked on the tech support forum, it remained unanswered.
