I converted HD to SSD on my ASUS N56VM laptop. I have seen on other forums that this set works very well. Before I buy anything, I always read forums and reviews. When I bought the SSD, I immediately bought a second hard drive container, which also had good reviews. The Samsung SSD came up to the T S06 with a cheaper case. I installed it that same evening. It was the easiest upgrade I've ever done. SSD installed perfectly, disk cloning went perfectly. I had an SSD running Windows 7 in an hour. It's really scary, because everything is not that simple. No problems until I put the original drive in the DVD bay. I couldn't get this laptop to turn off. You can force it to turn off, but that's not good for the device. I thought it might be a device or driver issue. I'm new to SSD but not to Windows. I spent hours trying to disable this thing properly. I finally got rid of the HD and the cheaper Caddy model, now I'm back to the 5 second shutdown. The only difference was the tray. I reset the tray to 5 seconds from the T S06 which I received the next day. Don't buy a cheap tray. They are not all the same. A lot of people on the forums are having the same issues after adding an HD to the DVD bay.
