I bought them so my short hair doesn't get up every morning. Unfortunately, it is NOT suitable for this, but it is an unusually soft nightcap. I gave all but two as Christmas gifts to friends with long hair who loved the idea. I can curl my back and if I don't move at all in my sleep my pixie stays straight. Lol It's not often so I keep looking for a sleepyhead that suits me but what if I still had long curls? I'd be thrilled so I wanted to throw in my 2 cents. I wash them on a regular cycle with regular clothes and jeans but let them air dry and I haven't had any seams come undone. (And I have an old-school stirrer.) I like bubble gum. I have a 22" head and it's very comfortable for me. (I also have 2-3.5 inch layered hair). It does sag a little on my eyes, mine can be even smaller but then it can I also use them as an eye mask.
