I'm officially middle aged and need a shoe for casual outings, housework, weekend activities. They are perfect for this and manage to avoid "daddy shoes" yet are comfortable and versatile while still looking good. You can dress up and sporty in addition to a good pair of jeans and a sweater, run across the lawn in sweatpants, chase after a toddler, or hop across a playground. Easy to tie and wear once. The back of the shoe is very soft but has the stability to slide for 6 months without heel flex. The size fits perfectly, I have a medium foot and there is enough room in the toe. I ran it once for a mile and had no blisters. Functional shoe for many activities and looks great.
