I had an 80 foot 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable connecting my computer to a large party speaker and needed to make a 1/4" Using inch adapter to connect to work...the problem was that when I cranked the volume above 50% the sound started to distort. Purchasing this item solved the distortion issues... now I can easily increase the volume by more than 90%.
