Review on πŸ’† Davines VOLU Volumizing Shampoo by Ronald Messina

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Mediocre first impression

I just received this and my head is still wet from use so I'll edit this review after a few uses but there are already a few things I can address, the ones made a significant difference in my purchase decision. Smell: It doesn't smell bad, it has a nice scent, but it's far from "heavenly" as some say on here. Value: This will not last and is close to what others claim. I have medium length hair and it is VERY thin and fine with very little hair. I did have to use a decent amount though and I feel like it's a very small bottle for the price. Conditioner Needs: My hair wasn't as tangled as with cheap shampoos, but it didn't help. makes it super soft. I'm debating whether or not to use the conditioner. UPDATE: not impressed. The shampoo isn't bad, just not worth the money. After the first wash, my hair was pretty flat, didn't look good (although not necessarily bad) and my biggest problem was that I couldn't easily run my fingers through it as I was constantly tossing it from side to side. . On my second use I ran a conditioner (using Garnier fructis as that was all I had) and while my hair was back to normal it just looked no different than my usual cheap (Australian or Garnier) brands. So in conclusion I'm not thrilled and wish I had spent that much on shampoo.

Pros
  • Very good quality
Cons
  • Piggy Bank Price
