Review on Belli Elasticity Belly Oil – Stretch Mark Protection for Smooth, Healthy Skin – Recommended by OB/GYNs and Dermatologists – 3.8 oz (1 Bottle) by Melissa Marie

I received this product after hearing the co-founder on the Pregtastic podcast. He explained that the three ingredients in this product have a scientific basis for reducing stretch marks or the extent of them and I was very impressed with his explanation for each of these ingredients. So I tried! Now my mom used to have pretty bad stretch marks on her kids every time. They say that genetics is a big factor and that if your mom gets stretch marks, chances are you will too. So I really expected to see her before my due date. I had my baby just a few days before my due date and to my surprise I didn't have a single stretch mark. I was so skeptical about this product that I kept checking for any traces of markings. I really didn't expect to be able to end my pregnancy without her and in a weird way I'm kind of sad that I didn't just get one as a sign of pregnancy. I really can't say for sure that this oil "prevented" stretch marks, but it was a pleasure to use and I'm sure it didn't hurt. Abdominals and thighs as part of my nightly routine. As I rubbed it in, it felt like giving myself and my baby a soothing massage. I've never had dry skin on my stomach, so I can't say if that helps, but I bet it will - it's an oil, so it keeps the moisture in. I've been using 1-2 pumps since I was 2 months pregnant and should have increased to 3 by the end. I was about 7 months out and decided to take a second bottle and use it for the rest of my pregnancy. I ended up using about 1 1/2 bottles. If there's one thing that has disappointed me, it's the price - it's a very expensive product. However, I enjoyed using it and it was a pleasure throughout my pregnancy. Okay, no stretch marks. Again, I'm not sure if it's really the product or my luck (I had an amazing pregnancy and birth).
