Fair for Beginners

Lynn Watterson has written a fairly detailed overview of jacquard knitting that takes you through step-by-step techniques, simple stitch patterns, and projects to get you started. Published by St. Martin's Griffin, a very respected publisher for knitters. The first chapters are dedicated to the book: yarn, color choices and knitting kits. This is followed by the basics such as set, front and back, binding, adding, removing. , size, circular knitting, weaving, patterns, etc. Then she picks up the patterns, paying special attention to the guide loops. It includes ribbed, cropped and two designs: a kids cardigan and a kids hoodie. Next projects are Fair Isle bracelets, fingerless mittens, Heating pads, berets and leg warmers, as well as a hat and scarf. Lesson 19 is devoted to Fair Isle patterns: mug lids and potholders, a tote bag, blanket, and pillows. are very important for wool, especially for wool. Ms. Watterson lists everything you need to knit with Fair Isle needles, including the yarn needed for each project. My only criticism of the book is that the colors in the photos are pretty dull and there are so many ways to make Fair Isle bright and vibrant. multicoloured. It's also a good book that I like to have in my library. The end of the book is about the basics of caring for wool, especially wool.
