There are many options for a laptop/device stand - this one is both cheaper and sturdier than others. If you want something permanent (which is the purpose of one of them), it's even difficult to open/move it to the desired position. Not so hard that you can't do it, but so hard that you can't move at all. It's adjustable, foldable, and just what you're looking for in a tool stand. It's very well made, made of durable materials, and costs half the price of other, less comfortable and durable stands. Trust your judgment and these reviews - you won't be disappointed. In this picture my Denon Prime Go sits on the stand about 1.5ft up and 2ft in front of the back of the base where it attaches. The device has dimensions of 10x16 and weighs 8 pounds - on the stand it does not move at all and can be positioned anywhere. The stand is also not too heavy and can be moved with one hand. This is exactly the stand you were looking for.
