I wanted this so I could hang my 5 year old daughter's clothes instead of putting them in her drawer. I put it in the closet but a lot of my tops hang over the bottom bar because it doesn't hang low enough. Because of this, many of their hangers get stuck in my clothes. Since this is an adjustable bar, they have to make it longer to accommodate different size tops. Maybe it works for those who wear small clothes or kids clothes. I left it because it keeps clothes out of the drawers, but it creates another mess and I keep detaching their hangers from the bottoms of my tops. I'm also concerned that it will cause additional wear on my clothes.
