This is a simple and inexpensive solution to automatically restart your router if your internet connection is lost. The product is very easy to set up and connect to my WiFi. It actually handled connecting to a 2.4/5GHz combo WiFi network with no problem (with other IoT products I often had to temporarily disable the 5GHz WiFi for the product to connect. Keep Connect required this not, such a good job ) Text messaging as a communication/notification method is a nice touch and avoids another application for some IoT devices. I like that there is no app. I tested it and it worked as it should. Simple, effective. I have now deducted 1 star (given the current importance, I should deduct 2 stars) because Keep Connect does not (anywhere) disclose its policies regarding handling and use of your information and maintaining the confidentiality of the information provided. It would also be nice if it used a more secure method of communication outside of your network, e.g. B. HTTP over TLS SSL or similar.
