I got this scale because I'm a big fan of Anker products and this is one of their divisions and I wanted to test them . smart scale. The scale mostly turns on right away, although I sometimes have to step up and down 3-4 times before it turns on and registers that I've stepped on it. The scale is within a pound of what my regular digital scale reads, so it's probably fine. On the other hand, the app will ONLY work if you open it and the device the app is open on is less than 5 feet away. Support told me maybe I didn't open the app properly or wasn't close enough. I WAS NOT on the street or anything. I have been in the kitchen next to the bathroom and even in the living room which is still very close and should be in the weight range. But the only way to sync is less than 5 feet away in the same room. That disappoints me. Overall a decent scale, less than decent for an app and syncing stats from the scale, and the price was good because I got a promo discount.
