The BOMATA Food Scale is a great addition to our kitchen and home office. The weight range from 0.01 oz to 11 lbs makes the scale suitable for many purposes. I love to cook and bake and often use recipes that require adding food mixes by weight. It can be meat, vegetables, fruits, spices and sauces. Working in our office often involves sending mail and packages that require accurate weight measurements. The scale is very easy to use, only 2 built-in buttons: ON/OFF/ZERO and MODE. Pressing the first button turns on the scale and the weight value shows zero in the display window between the buttons. The large backlit display shows white digits 0.58 inches high and 0.25 inches wide with a violet backlight. Very easy to read. With the MODE button I can select 4 weight displays: oz, lb, ml, g. Scale dimensions: 8.27 inches long, 6.3 inches wide and 1.18 inches high. It fits perfectly on our kitchen counter or desk. The scale is powered by 3 AAA batteries (included) or a built-in lithium battery with USB charging function. The advantage of the scale is that the entire surface can be washed off. BOMATA states that the scale can be completely wetted for cleaning as key areas of the scale are completely sealed. I don't want to use this feature, but I wash the entire surface with a damp cloth and the scale surface with a soapy cloth and then a dishcloth. This is a great kitchen/office product from BOMATA.
