They're a little taller than I thought but well built, Tonka Tough springs to mind. Maybe because they are big and made of metal? Sure, they scratch, but they're aluminum, so expect that. Also, I didn't give it five stars because I feel like the action could be smoother, and I wanted to spray silicone grease on the mechanism, but it could make it too easy to open. I would also like to say what is made in America (although apparently it is an American company). The cable I bought is premium material (750lb mil spec line) and I think it's a great combination. I find that both cord and buckle together make a high-quality, durable product and complement each other perfectly. Definitely I didn't take the size down because it's up to me, but next time I would buy something smaller. I almost feel bad for not giving it 5 stars, but I can't just rate everything perfectly. Let's switch to 10-point decimal and I would give 8.75, maybe 8.99. :-)
