Getting stuck cutting apples

I made the mistake of not reading the reviews on this. It gets stuck about halfway up the apple, which is a pain. I usually have to bang the apple on the table to finish it. This is an inexpensive product and it shows. At the end of the day, however, it gets the job done—it just takes a little more arm strength.
