The pan was at room temperature or warmer when placed in the oven. This set was purchased to replace another new Pyrex set that came with a broken lid. When this set arrived it also had a broken lid. What the heck is Pyrex? A $40 dinner for five is ruined. Exploding pots, broken lids! Note: The casserole dish next to the one that exploded is also made of Pyrex. From the same there is a completely new set of five articles. One explodes, the other is fine. They were both used in the same way, at the same temperature, etc.
