Review on 🐦 Penn-Plax Wooden Playpen for Parakeets, Lovebirds, and Parrotlets – Small Size - Bird Life by Liyanny Llerena

Toy costs $6

So after reading all the "bad" reviews I still thought the product cost $6. 1. You need to soak and clean the parts several times before putting them together. The paint on these items REALLY bleeds through so make sure you soak and let them dry completely before putting them back together. Your wood pieces will still be painted a lighter shade so they aren't as bright, but they will still be colorful and pretty in my opinion. 2. Remove the bell, it is dangerous for your birds and the beak may get inside, also there are rumors that the bell is made of unsafe metal. Not sure what metal it really is, but better safe than sorry. I replaced the bell with a safer toy. 3. You will need your OWN glue to put this together. I used hot glue since I'm using mine for a very light bird (parrot). 4. Ropes and "fibrous" objects pose a hazard to birds as they can be eaten by your little birds and cause bruising. However, if you're using this under supervision, it should be fine. CONCLUSION: Overall the prep and assembly is a bit of a hassle BUT with a little patience and innovation it's still worth the $6 I paid considering the amount of time and money I would have to buy all the parts, to measure and cut if i would have to do it myself. A NOTICE. I ordered a large size which I think is perfect for a budgie/parakeet and similar sized birds.
