A few years ago I started using ratchet straps ("no holes"). Unfortunately the first pair I received were very poorly made and just didn't last long. In the meantime I have owned several belts of this type and have learned to distinguish quality from junk. I was incredibly happy when I received this belt, as I immediately noticed that it was of high quality and would accompany me for many years. I've only had it for a few days but was very impressed with the quality. It's also a very sharp belt. I tend to be a bit boring when it comes to my clothing choices, and I have a couple of black belts and a brown one (just to mix things up a bit). I decided it was time to break my rut and opted for a gray nylon belt. I just love how it looks. With a belt of this design you can now easily shorten it in length. The instructions warn you and I will warn you. Don't be too aggressive when shortening the strap. You can always make the belt shorter, but you cannot make it longer. Cut off less than you see fit, and cut off more if necessary.
