My antenna failed on my old car and they don't sell matching replacement antennas. That little guy fits in there. It was easy to install and connect to my radio via my dashboard. First connect the black ground wire to the vehicle ground wire or any part of the metal frame. The red wire connects to the 12V wire in my car; This only turns on the radio when I turn on the key. Then the antenna cable is connected to the stereo system. The wires are long enough to span my entire dash, although if you run them through the dash you'll need extra room to hide any excess wire. The devices are not large, behind the rearview mirror they look normal. In terms of reception, I've had better antennas, but not for such a cheap price. This $20 antenna will do the job; It connects to all of my local stations, even if they're in garages or under tree canopies. The antenna serves its purpose very well.
