K&N Oil Filter Top Filter

K&N is the recognized leader in oil and air filters. The only other air filter I'd like to have is the AFE Pro Dry S, but that's not the product we're reviewing. K&N has a "Gold" series oil filter that costs about $5 more and has a "nut" on top for very easy installation and removal. The Pro Series oil filter, like the one I ordered, does not work. The only differences are the "nut" on top and the colors of the oil filters. Filtration, flow rate, restriction rate, tensile strength and materials are the same. A low limit means a high flow rate. Larger capacity means cleaner oil. A dump valve (not bypass or relief valves) provides good start-up protection. The Pro Series is cheaper than the Gold Series, but the quality and protection isn't lost on buying the cheaper of the two, just the ease of installation and removal.

Pros
