I always bring a few cases with my new phone to change things up, but it was always uncomfortable. It's a shame to cover the back of the Pixel 4. It looks good and the frosted glass on the white version looks great. I had a Rhinoshield protective bumper on my Nexus 5X a few years ago and didn't like it. It was a bit bigger than I wanted, and the buttons on that early version were just awful. Hard to squeeze and soft. Fortunately, Rhinoshield has solved these problems over the years. The Crash Guard bumper for the Pixel 4 is relatively thin but has enough lip to protect the rear camera bump and the front screen. The bumper finish is a matte finish very similar to the Pixel 4's matte edge finish. When the back is open to the glass, the overall look is basically identical to the bare phone, just with a lip. The fit is very precise, so the edges aren't flexible like many bumpers (although that goes for the cons). The keys aren't outstanding, but they are in the "very good" range. They're fairly tactile and fairly easy to press. The only thing stopping them from being great is that they're a bit stiff, but not to the point of causing problems. Cutouts are precise. However, a side effect of the precise fit and fall protection is that the bumper is difficult to put on and take off. The edges feel great but not super grippy. It would also be great if they included white, orange, and pink buttons to match button colors on different Pixel 4 devices, but that's very picky. Overall the bumper looks great and maintains the original look of the phone. when adding fall protection. Everything I didn't like about the CrashGuard I owned three years ago has been fixed in the new phone releases and Rhinoshield is great for that.
