Standard macro lens clips don't fit my Moto G5+, but this weird little contraption worked great right out of the box. Dispatched and delivered quickly, well packaged. There was a quick start sheet to help me put all the pieces together and a link to a YouTube video for more instructions (didn't need it). For all of that in itself, it's worth the price. However, there are some disadvantages. First, the quality of the lens is okay. You'll definitely get some powerful zoom up close. With the optical zoom on my phone it's just amazing. However, it was a little washed out at the edges and difficult to focus manually. A tripod definitely helps. I have one and will try later. The lens is designed with a small lip that inserts into the channel on the clamp. The clip is likely not compatible with other lenses that have threaded mounts. Another macro lens I have does not fit in the clamp. The clip itself is as strong as a plastic fork. I can foresee the day when I'll break it in half to fit my phone. Don't let it get cold, don't warm it up and leave it in the sun. The plastic clip has a small rubber protrusion that attaches to the front of the phone. And when the clip is removed from the phone, that rubber strip rests against the back of the lens itself. This is not very good as the rubber easily collects dust particles and fibers. There is a lens cap, but it only protects the front of the lens. I'll probably make a protective case so the front and back don't get dusty when stored.
