I also bought a shooting star and unlike the shooting star this puzzle is in one piece which is much better. There are no parts to keep track of and you can just sit back and try to put it back together. I bought this for my 15 year old son who loves puzzles like this and while he'll probably solve them pretty quickly, I can see that this is a cool little thing that has to be on your shelf to just crack at tinkering when he has friends or when he's bored. As I said with the Shooting Star, the toy may be more suitable for children from 8 to 13 years old. I'm glad I bought them but probably won't buy them again just because I think they are for younger kids.
