This works much better than a broom or vacuum on my laminate and vinyl floors. The entire arm rotates 360 degrees, so you can easily move the mop head in the direction you want. The fabrics are easy to attach and don't come off until you're done; and you're not limited to just clothing with the Swiffer name. Any microfiber cloth, disposable or washable, large enough to clip to will do. It comes disassembled, but it only takes a few seconds to attach the handle and extensions to the mop head. When assembled the 3 extensions each add 10 inches and are easily removed if you need to make them shorter. And because it's so thin, it doesn't take up much storage space. Okay, I'm not the best housewife in the world, so I can't even pretend to use it once a week. Wipes are great for picking up dust and hair, but their absorbency is limited and yet I don't need a second wipe. Simply sweep or collect dust and dirt in a heap as if using a broom. The difference is that it requires less effort and you're not chasing dirt. While the entire arm rotates 360 degrees on the mop head, it is necessary to lower the entire arm to the floor to get more than a few inches under a sofa or other hard-to-move furniture. There's no detent on the lever to bend it to a different position to make things easier, such as dusting. This starter kit contains 2 dry wipes and 1 wet wipe.
