The voltage supplied from the external power connector is poorly regulated and is typically almost a full volt outside of the range required by USB. This causes some connected devices to stop working or reset. (Which is a common problem with reviews). Every time I plug it into the USB-C port on my Lenovo Yoga, I get a low display quality warning when I plug it into the device. Also, my Logitech wireless devices (mice/keyboards) don't work with it when connected to the PC via USB-C or USB3. My wife's Lenovo doesn't recognize the solution at all. My HP Zbook (Linux) behaves the same as my Lenovo Win10, doesn't complain about displays but still can't use anything other than storage devices. My Chromebook N22 does not recognize the device at all. My Dell site uses it just fine (usb2). The USB3 to USBC adapter also blocks physically adjacent ports. Even if you don't use it. In general, many compatibility issues, poor installation, low power output, and weak/low regulation. PASS IT ON. Rather spend a few euros more and buy something better.
