Received these headphones today as a backup for my Turtle Beach Ear Force Z11. I've been using Turtle Beach for 3 years now and am very happy with it, however the cable is starting to disconnect from the volume knob. One of the reasons I bought them was because the line is braided so I'm hoping to avoid that problem. In any case, I'll be using Turtle Beach as a base but considering the price difference ($40 for TB, $16 for this one) between the two. So let's go: The sound quality is damn good for the price. Point - The braided cable seems to be of very good quality, nice and long - Microphone: Hopped on Teamspeak and spoke to a couple of buddies very quickly and they understood me just fine. So far so good. Price. The excellent volume control is something that sometimes bothers me when I'm in a game and need to adjust the volume very quickly, but the smaller ones can be a bit harder to find without looking away from the screen. There are no problems with these headphones. The volume knob is BIG, but not too much. IMO comfort - not very good, but definitely not bad. I would have liked the cushioning in the upper to be a bit thicker. The ear pads are good. Fit: I have a big head (all senses!) so I'm still thinking about what fits me best. Turtle Beach easily accommodates my large head (like an orange on a toothpick!), they fit a bit. For 99.9% of people this is not a problem. My first impression is pretty good, I don't regret the purchase. I'll update in a month or so if anything changes. I have not been rewarded in any way for providing my unbiased opinion on these headphones, although if the manufacturer wishes to compensate me in any way, shape or form I am an easy buy.
