I bought this table to replace my Janome DC2160. Sometimes these tables are included with your machine, but my machine doesn't have them. However, when sewing, it is of great importance. The flat surface of this table is slightly convex. This allows your piece of fabric to slide easily across the fabric without unwinding. You can see and remove all the pins as long as you leave the fabric on the table. Sewing on pins isn't a good idea (YOU CAN, but it's actually better not to). The table has legs that fold away for storage; When you don't need a table (say you're sewing on a loose sleeve), you can easily store it on a shelf or closet.5. There is an embossed ruler (metric and English) which is a handy reference point for measuring. If you are sewing large items, flat items or quilts, this is a very good addition to your machine.
