I would like to start by saying that I don't think they will fit as an "XL" sandwich bag. My personal take on the XL sandwich is a substitute for Italian/French bread (or other thick bread) with lots of toppings. So if you share this vision. Then these bags are a bit small. Luckily I never need sandwiches that big, so that's not a problem! However, for a large medium-sized sandwich, they are ideal. They're great for my bread, with little headroom and room for toppings (unfortunately, no one wanted a sandwich at the time of the photo, so I couldn't put toppings on them). No zipper, no way to actually seal the package. except for the folding which was a problem. I didn't think it would be like this, but I wanted bags like this for my daughter's school lunch, but it turns out they fall out every once in a while. Otherwise good packages, not flimsy, hold up. good sandwich. However, I've mainly used them to hold a medium sized kids' juice box + a bag of goldfish for my daughters' snacks. Honestly for the price I will continue to buy these but I would recommend to children if leakage is a problem they may not meet your needs. I had to tell my daughter not to shake her backpack too much. They're also great for snack bags because they're thinner. They wrinkle well with storage until I throw them away (although you could probably reuse them). These are good cheap packages, the packaging they arrived in could have been a bit better (the boxes were a bit torn) - but the packages were not damaged. .I got it with a discount
