I have long, thick hair, very dense. Needless to say, cleaning is a chore and very inconvenient. I have the feeling that a lot of hair breaks in the process and this creates a hissing sound. When I found this brush I LOVE it. Not only for wet hair, but also for daily combing. Far fewer breaks every day. Of course, one of them breaks from time to time, but this brush significantly reduces that number. It's also almost weightless, adding no weight to my already heavy bag. Out of horrific experience, if you have a large, awkward dog, DO NOT leave your brush on the couch. But even from this horrific experience came a silver lining. I used to have a glittery black brush, but now I have an even prettier glittery rose red.
